Guesthouse Sileo – Pribylina, Račkova Valley

The Sileo Guesthouse is situated in the village of Pribylina in the Liptov region, right at the entrance to the Račkova Valley in the Western Tatras. It is in a quiet location at the edge of the village, surrounded by woods and meadows, with views of the Western Tatras ridge. Access is via a tarmac road, with free parking directly at the guesthouse. The guesthouse is approximately a 15-minute drive from the D1 motorway (Liptovský Hrádok or Ivachnová exit). The nearest bus stop is in Pribylina (approx. 2 km), and the railway station is in Liptovský Hrádok (10 km). Conveniently situated between Liptov and the Tatras * Liptovský Mikuláš 20 km, Štrbské Pleso 40 km, Jasná – Chopok 30 km.

The guesthouse offers accommodation in 11 comfortable rooms and apartments with a total capacity of up to 38 people – double rooms with extra beds, the Bonsai Apartment (50 m2, max. 5 people) and the Dependance apartments with a fully equipped kitchen. Each room has its own bathroom. There is a restaurant serving home-cooked meals made from fresh, regional produce – a buffet breakfast and served dinners (half-board available at an extra charge; meals are for resident guests only). Guests can enjoy a Finnish sauna, a wooden hot tub and, in summer, a natural, chemical-free swimming pond. Facilities include a lounge with a fireplace, a bar, a terrace with views of the Tatra Mountains, a children’s play area and a playground. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the premises, and free parking is provided. The guesthouse is suitable for families with children, couples, as well as corporate events and team-building activities. Pets are not permitted.

The guesthouse is an ideal base for exploring the Western Tatras – hiking trails lead directly from the guesthouse to Račkova Valley, the Račkove Lakes, Baranec, Jakubina and Ostrý Roháč. In the forest above the guesthouse lies the unique attraction known as Drevuliaci – seven wooden sculptures. Just 5 km from the guesthouse is the Pribylina Museum of the Liptov Village (open-air museum). In summer, it’s well worth visiting Liptovská Mara (water sports, sightseeing cruises), the Tatralandia Water Park (30 km) or going rafting on the River Belá (20 km). In winter, the nearest ski resorts are Ski Opalisko (25 km), Jasná – Chopok (30 km) and Štrbské Pleso (40 km); cross-country skiing trails run directly through the Račkova Valley. The Demänovska Cave of Freedom and the Demänovska Ice Cave are open all year round. Catering and fingerfood can be ordered from Adinka Kitchen.
